Although only just released by Audi, ABT Sportsline is already presenting its version of the new premium limousine A8, the AS8. The luxury liner has been decently yet confidently tuned by the Bavarian company. “With us this extraordinary vehicle doesn’t lose its character, we underline it”, states Hans-Juergen Abt the General Manager of ABT Sportsline.

Even the intention of the Ingolstadt car manufacturer to consistently focus on light construction, indicates how: the A8 is a sporty gentleman, even more so after the power treatment at ABT. Initially the potent turbo diesel with a 4.2 litre cubic capacity has had its performance improved, and other versions will follow soon. “The machine fits the large limousine perfectly”, says Hans-Juergen Abt in justification of the decision.

The series standard 350HP (257kW) is raised by ABT to 385HP (283kW). The torque of the modern diesel engine is impressive: 880 Nm (series standard: 800 Nm) ensure that the luxury liner can easily cope with any situation. Relaxed journeys and sports handling at the limit – everyday business life is particularly enjoyable with the ABT AS8. This is thanks to the air suspension, which has been tailor-made to meet the demands of this extravagant car.

The elegant-sporty car from Kempten also knows how to impress optically: the front spoiler, side sills, the rear aprons with the tailpipe cover and the three-piece rear spoiler underline the design of the limousine and give it a sporty touch.

The new ABT CR alloys, available in expressive 20 and 21 inch sizes, are ideal additions to the overall concept: the wheel is classy, seems light yet has a powerful presence, and discreetly attracts attention. This is particularly the case in combination with the phantom-black coating, which makes the ABT AS8 look classically-modern and sublime beyond all contemporary aberrations.

The fact that a touch of dynamism and aggressiveness does no harm to the luxury liner is shown in the details of the vehicle. The ABT AS8 has been optimised to meet the high demands of its drivers: ABT Sportsline has not changed the elegant glider into a racing car, but carefully into a confident and sporty automobile.

HAMANN-Motorsport is one of the leading names when it comes to exclusive refining of super sports cars. The company from Laupheim in southern Germany demonstrates this once again with the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. HAMANN presents premier tuning components for the Gullwing which enhances its sporty look and gives it that personal touch.

For the recently presented Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, HAMANN offers forged alloy wheels named DESIGN EDITION RACE “ANODIZED”. These wheels, which are produced using the most modern manufacturing processes, bring out the sporty design of the Coupé and ensure the highest load bearing capacity with low weight owing to special aluminium alloys. Hamann Motorsport has given the current BMW 5 Gran Turismo a significantly more dynamic appearance and turned the crossover between a comfortably spacious SUV and an elegant limousine into one of the most exclusive multi-purpose vehicles in the luxury class. The high sitting position of a SUV, the versatility of a van and the exclusive feeling of spaciousness of a limousine: The BMW 5 series Gran Turismo developed specifically for the US market is already an unusual top-class, multi-purpose vehicle when it leaves the plant. The product range includes a front spoiler to be mounted on the standard front spoiler of the series, side skirts and a rear spoiler in a subtle or striking design, as required. The Hamann motor specialists have developed a powerful performance gain from 245 PS (180 kW) to 275 PS (202 kW) for the 5 series GT 530d. The torque, an even more important factor when it comes to driving pleasure, simultaneously increases from 540 Nm to an impressive 620 Nm at 1750 RPM. Thanks to Hamann Motorsport, the 5 series Gran Turismo 530d, whose performance is enhanced due to optimisation of the engine characteristics by means of reprogramming of the series Motronic, boasts 20 Nm more torque than the standard 535d, and that for only a fraction of the surcharge actually due.

Befitting its image, the modified Gran Turismo boasts gigantic 22-inch tyres: The elegantly styled Hamann alloy wheel ANNIVERSARY EVO has been specially developed for the requirements of heavyweight, truly massive vehicles. In line with Hamann’s philosophy on modifications, state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the use of special aluminium alloy ensure maximum load capacities at low weight. Hamann ANNIVERSARY EVO designer wheels for the BMW 5 Gran Turismo are available in the sizes 9.0 x 22 for the front and 10.5 x 22 for the back. The German art of tuning: a worthy example is the new S5 that had taken the form of a truly individual “sports car” in the hands of Senner Tuning AG tuners from Ingelheim. Apart from the decent design kit, Senner Tuning still has various upgrades ready to apply on the S5 series.

A front spoiler, stretched deeply below, with a large air inlet in RS5 Look with a well-suited radiator grill, designed in the form of cells, contributes to the perfect car body along the sliding air streams and optics. Additionally, we can find a rear spoiler lip at the body, as well as a rear apron unit performed in Carbon Look by Rieger tuning house. To make the appearance complete, the car is equipped with modern LED back lights, and a number-plate light has light-emitting diodes in clear white, too.

But this is still not enough. As the name “white beast” implies, not only the optics but also the engine power have been upgraded. With parametric surface optimization, performance air filter plug-in package and exhaust system, additional 30 ph and 35 Nm are now available for Audi S5, and the overall power now makes 384 ph and 475 Nm.

Furthermore, the speed limitation of 250 km/h was raised, so now the car can reach the full 285 km/h. The acceleration up to this speed was boosted by the Power Converter, an electronic module of acceleration of the signal from the gas pedal.

The corresponding sound of the newly acquired power is produced by the Senner Tuning exhaust system which emphasizes the car’s sport-style appearance optically, too, with its four exhaust pipes of high-grade steel. The exhaust system includes a sport exhaust silencer and an X-pipe and is provided with an EU grant for vehicle operating.

To make the performance of the reinforced motor core optimal for the street and allow no losses, the craftsmen from Senner Tuning use lowered suspension springs with 40-mm suspension at the front axle and 35-mm suspension at the rear axle which also create a nice-looking aspect between the body and the rims.

In addition, giant and two-parted 21-inch polished light alloy wheel rims Work Varianza T1S in diamond black, that were produced exclusively for Senner Tuning, find their application with the white beast. High-performance tyres by Hankook with an S1 Evo label, as big as 255/30 R21 and 295/25 R21, were installed on 9×21“ and 10,5×21“ rims. And there is no need to adjust the wheel arch edges!

The interior has also undergone some changes. A carbon fiber interior package, including the tachometer display screen, sticks out from the rest. There is also a fancy foot mat of high-quality velour – this is where sport ambitions merge with individuality.

Just in time for the start of the cabrio season, HAMANN Motorsport is introducing a comprehensive programme for accessories and modification of the current BMW Z4 Roadster, known internally as the E89. The broad palette of customisation options for the roadster with the fold-away hardtop includes exciting bodywork styling, striking rim designs and powerful performance improvements.

The HAMANN aerodynamics programme is characterised by top-quality workmanship on body components with impressive design and optimised airflow over the vehicle silhouette: The specialists have replaced the series production front spoiler on the front axle with an in-house development that features two integrated LED day lamps. Striking side skirts between the front and the rear impress with a convincing design concept, and lend the Z4 an even lower and longer appearance. The lift force on the rear axle is reduced by a HAMANN technical development that sees a shapely spoiler mounted on the tailgate. A new rear apron completes an impressive overall appearance and makes space for the four tailpipes responsible for the throaty sound of the HAMANN sports exhaust system.

The HAMANN engine specialists have developed a powerful performance improvement for the BMW Z4 sDrive35i engine, which also lifts the 250 km/h limitation. The optimisation of the series production control device has resulted in performance figures of 360 hp / 265 kW at 5230 rpm (standard is 306 hp / 225 kW at 2500 rpm). The maximum torque simultaneously increases to an impressive 540 Nm, which is available in the engine speed range of 1300 to 5000 rpm (standard is 400 Nm at 1300 – 5000). This modification results in a top speed of 285 km/h.

One of the technical highlights in the comprehensive range of wheels is the three-part HAMANN light alloy wheel known as the EDITION RACE “MATT BLACK”. The 20″ forged wheel combines sportiness with elegance. The matt black, polished spoked rims and the titanium screw joints accentuate the wheel dynamics, while the highly polished rim flange makes for a sophisticated impression. HAMANN is offering the wheel/tyre combination of 8,5Jx20 inch including 235/30ZR20 front tyres with 10,0Jx20 rims plus 295/25ZR20 back tyres from 7,640 Euro. Extra focus is on the new aluminium wheels with special chassis springs that allow the centre of mass on both the front and back axles of the Z4 Roadster to be lowered by 30 millimetres. Handling of the sports car is simultaneously enhanced.

For the interior, HAMANN Motorsport has come up with subtle internal applications. The aluminium gear knob and the set of foot mats with the silver stitched HAMANN logo provide a sporty look. On request, hand-made complete leather fittings in line with the exclusive demands of every BMW Z4 Roadster driver can also be supplied.
