HAMANN-Motorsport is one of the leading names when it comes to exclusive refining of super sports cars. The company from Laupheim in southern Germany demonstrates this once again with the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. HAMANN presents premier tuning components for the Gullwing which enhances its sporty look and gives it that personal touch.

For the recently presented Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, HAMANN offers forged alloy wheels named DESIGN EDITION RACE “ANODIZED”. These wheels, which are produced using the most modern manufacturing processes, bring out the sporty design of the Coupé and ensure the highest load bearing capacity with low weight owing to special aluminium alloys. The look of the DESIGN EDITION RACE “ANODIZED” with its black matt anodized finish and the sophisticated cross-spokes fully meet the sporty expectations that customers have from the SLS AMG. The titanium wheel bolts seem to come directly from the racetrack. These are not only ultra light but are also very stable and corrosion resistant.

The HAMANN-wheel assembly DESIGN EDITION RACE “ANODIZED” are available in the dimensions of 9.0Jx21 (front) and 11.0Jx21 (rear) and are delivered with tyres sizes 245/30 ZR 21 (front axle) and 295/25 ZR21 (rear axle) at a price of 10,500 Euro.

Other sporty highlights are the progressively wound suspensions which lower the centre of gravity of the SLS at the front and rear axle by 30mm, thus improving the handling while going around curves at high speeds.

In addition, HAMANN offers a stainless steel exhaust system with a very sporty sound for the SLS. Two 90mm exhaust pipes on each side exude an impressive rumble from the V-8 engine.

The ML 63 AMG with 585 HP by VÄTH Automobiltechnik

One of the most powerful ML 63 AMG comes from VÄTH Automobiltechnik. This fast vehicle with up to 300 km/h is being built on the ML 63 AMG base in Hösbach. The heart of this high-performance SUV is VÄTH 6.3 liters 585 HP engine with sensational 690 Nm.

In order to give the powerful engine its desired serviceability many engine parts have been substituted. The engine has enlarged countersunk channels leading to the cylinder head. Moreover, big intake and exhaust valves as well as a sports camshaft and fitting valve springs have been installed. Furthermore, individual fine tuning of engine electronics was carried out and an exhaust manifold, two high-grade steel catalyst converters and a sport air filter were installed. Special forged pistons guarantee stability at high engine rpm. Engine tuning costs 17.850,00 Euro plus 1.785,00 Euro for the installation.

The AMG C63 by EDO Competition

“To hell with modesty” – so begins the communiqué of the Edo Competition about their last performance, a Mercedes C 63 AMG. While recognizing the qualities and excellent performance of the series model, the boys at Edo Competition were dissatisfied. In fact, not dissatisfied but rather confident that it can be better. It’s their job to think so, if they want to preserve its reputation.

C 63 AMG is equipped with a V8 engine of 6.2 liter, a maximum power of 457 hp and max. torque of 600 Nm. No turbine. In fact, no one in Edo get complicated with supercharging. Instead they changed the exhaust system, exhaust headers, high-flow catalytic converters, new air filters and a recalibrated ECU (including top speed governor removal) boost these numbers to an impressive 555 horsepower and 680 Nm (501 ft-lb). With this occasion they suppressed and electronic speed limiter that hold just 250 km / h.

Being tested, the propeller reached to provide 555 hp and 680 Nm, sufficient values that the car will explode from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 320 km / h.

The good side (or bad, depending on how you look at the situation) is that Edo Competition has not crossed with the aesthetic lines of the machine, limiting to the fitting of black rims, from alloy rims, of 19 inches, shod in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.

As for the inside, there are no pictures, because there is not a standard interior, to not conflict with different client tastes, Edo leaves them to order what they want. For the right price, tuner executes everything.
